Who Am I?
Short stats:
- In my (very late–*heh*) 50s somewhere
- Bachelors and Masters degrees in seemingly unrelated fields. PhD.B.S.–yes, a doctorate in “bovine scatology” that preceded my B.M. by several years.
- Married for
2729 (this be year30now into year 32) years to my Wonder Woman - 2 children: empty nest.
- Interests? Nearly everything except for pop “culture”–and even there the subject piques a certain morbid curiosity in me.
- I play several instruments and used to sing, though not so much any more. Less and less performance as the years wear on.
- Have taught in public schools, built, managed and directed music and performing arts programs, both ongoing in churches and in special venues… and done other work too varied to mention.
- I read widely and in topics too diverse to list. In fiction, probably the majority is still science fiction, but even there, wide range of tastes.
- History, arts, philosophy, religion, p-sych, sociology, real science (as opposed to poly-sci, sociology, p-sych, etc.) and more are among my nonfiction reading interests.
- Heck. I’ll read a soup can if that’s all that’s available.
- Currently tune bit-buckets for income.
I blog “to silence the voices in my head”

Sobriety 2007. Seemengly possible after November-December scare. Focus is important in one’s consensual typing hands. Number of hits this year seems to be going down, first time ever as opposed to unsurmountable necrology stats of previous years. Good start on this blog. Found the old voice, the right colors, the eyesight seems to be much improved [glasses or not]. Congrats. No pun. Lots of friendship. See you soon. Can you possibly get rid of the numbers. Signed, Kat.

Dear Brad,
In order to use trackbacks, there are a couple tricks that may be helpful. When you go to a WordPress site, there is usually a ‘Trackback URI’ available. When you see this, right click your mouse. Then go to ‘copy shortcut’. Take that and put it into your haloscan or whatever you are using to trackback.
Now if you would like to guide people to David’s site, you would want to use his URL (that’s the short name for his post’s address which you will find in the address bar, lol).
Oh, for many other trackbacks, they can found by clicking on them regularly. Okay? I hope that helps. I was so shy when I first started.

David, I don’t know which of your writers signed “Third World County” up for the “Guard The Borders” coalition, so I’m leaving this note on your doorstep. I’m trying to keep the coalition going, but only have time to prepare about one article per month. I don’t have an email address for you, so if you would like to get DOC, TXT, and HTML copies of the monthly article, would you send your email address in confidence to the “admceditor” email address? Please include the URL of your blog, so I know which one you are. When I send out the articles I use blind carbon copies, so no addresses are exposed.
This month’s article is “Panic In Postville” which you can copy off the GTB website. Or, just let me know and I’ll send you the 3 versions.

Dave,
Thanks for the list. As a blogger newbie I think I lost count of my mistakes at 6. Can you give me some advice on how to use the trackback URL’s that are somtimes included in posts such as yours above to send people to your and other interesting Bloggers posts? I have tried to use them with little success. BTW. I am a member of link haven.
Thanks,
Brad
