Gobsmacked, any?/Tuesday Open Post

Just a small point to ponder:
Gleaned from “LawS: Know TheM,” at Woman Honor Thyself,
Title 8:
Section 1325. Improper entry by alien
(a) Improper time or place; avoidance of examination or inspection; misrepresentation and concealment of facts
Any alien who (1) enters or attempts to enter the United States at any time or place other than as designated by immigration officers,
or (2) eludes examination or inspection by immigration officers,
or (3) attempts to enter or obtains entry to the United States by a willfully false or misleading representation or the willful concealment of a material fact, shall, for the first commission of any such offense, be fined under title 18 or imprisoned not more than 6 months, or both, and, for a subsequent commission of any such offense, be fined under title 18, or imprisoned not more than 2 years, or both.
Hmmm… seems as though the common understanding that only three of the 9-11 hijackers were in the country illegally is false. None of the others revealed on their visa apps that the purpose of their stay was to “fly planes into buildings causing the deaths of thousands of non-combatants” in their self-declared (though not on their visa apps) war on the U.S.
So ALL of them were illegal aliens. That goes a long way toward explaining why so many progressives” are so hot to have more illegals in country, eh?
Still waiting on further word from Ward Churchill.
Be sure and press this point every time you meet an “Open Borders” advocate. You’ll likely have a chance to witness what “gobsmacked” means firsthand.*

*Yeh, lefties will try to argue that the poor folk who sneak across our borders just to seek a better life are somehow different.
But how do they KNOW that? Have they investigated the background of each and every one? Have they run health screenings to determine that they aren’t bringing in diseases? Background checks to attempt to screen out criminals (or terrorists)?
The fact that the system was so easily gamed by the 9-11 hijackers is no excuse for not making sure that each and every entry into this country is through legal channels. And because NO ONE will believe we’re serious as long as this country makes no serious attempts to rid ourselves of the problems and security risks illegals bring with them across our borders, ALL illegal aliens MUST GO.
Sure, it’s a daunting task, but simply throwing in the towel and saying it’s impossible without seriously attempting to enforce existing laws is criminal negligence, IMO—and I believe someone with the proper legal background could make that argument stick.
